Sponsorship & Donation Requests

To submit a community sponsorship or donation request, please contact us at . We thank you for your interest, but please note that only those organizations that align with our poverty reduction initiative will be considered.

We respect our shareholder in the City of Saint John, and all of our customers, employees, partners and other stakeholders. We’re also committed to communicating with and engaging our stakeholders, and investing in our community.

As a part of how we do business, we hold ourselves accountable to three main pillars of sustainability: social responsibility, delivering economic value and environmental stewardship.

Within these three pillars, we have 10 Sustainability Focus Areas. We implement activities within each focus area, to provide balance and alignment with our community’s values.

Our Community Commitment

Saint John Energy has a long history of active community involvement, dating back to 1922. We are deeply committed to being a responsible corporate citizen by supporting areas of social need in Saint John, because it’s our home too. Our company and staff contribute over $100,000 annually to local charitable organizations

To ensure our corporate donations program has a measurable and lasting impact, Saint John Energy focuses its support on the most pressing area of social need in our city: reducing generational poverty. We do that by fulfilling immediate needs through the provision of food and warmth to those in need, and by building a stronger future for Saint John by supporting our youth through education.

Employee Volunteerism

Saint John Energy employees volunteer with dozens of local agencies, events and fund raisers. This commitment to our community translates into more than 2000 hours annually in service to our youth, our seniors, the environment and to various health and welfare causes.

PALS Program

We are also a proud participant in the PALS (Partners Assisting Local Schools) program, which pairs local businesses with schools in vulnerable neighbourhoods to provide volunteer support and financial assistance. Our employees regularly volunteer with our PALS partner, St. Patrick’s School, located near our head office. For more information about PALS, click here.
