Smart thermostats help you save money by using the least amount of energy possible. You enter your desired temperature and daily schedule, and based on this information; the thermostat ensures the room is comfortable when you get home and saves as much energy as possible when you are away. They connect to your home Wi-Fi, allowing you to change your temperature from anywhere. Smart thermostats are much easier to use than regular programmable thermostats. Small changes, like lowering your home’s temperature by a few degrees, can result in significant savings.

Yes, all our smart thermostats come with an accompanying mobile app that allows you to change your home temperature from anywhere you are connected to the internet. The technician installing the thermostat will show you how to access the app.

You can sign up to learn more about the Smart Energy Project here. Please note, signing up does not guarantee you will receive a smart thermostat. We will contact those who are eligible to participate by phone or email.

If your thermostat loses connection to Wi-Fi, it will continue to operate until connectivity is restored. However, you won’t be able to control it using the mobile app. In the event of a power outage, the thermostat will not work until power is restored.

Some thermostats have already been installed throughout the community, and others will be deployed over the next year.
